# Yes, And > Scene notes for improvisers. Type out a short improv scene you just played - two to four players, one "Name: line" per line - and see what every line offered and what your partners did with it: built on, accepted, ignored or blocked. A coach's notes add the base reality, the first unusual thing, the game, a listening moment, three notes and three suggested next lines. URL: https://yes-and.skillsafe.ai/ API: https://yes-and.skillsafe.ai/api.html ## What is free (runs in the browser) - Reading the scene: each line that starts with a name and a colon is a new line for that player; a line with no name joins the line before (stage directions in brackets are fine). Up to 4 players; a run gets the first 30 and the last 10 lines of a long scene, with the cut marked. - Counts per player: lines, words and questions (with line numbers). - Cue words: lines that open like a denial (no, but, actually, I can't...) and replies that reuse a word from the partner's line before. These are hints, said as such - the page never guesses the verdict. - The offer abacus: one wire per line and one bead per line in its player's colour, sitting where the cue words guess (picked up, unclear, maybe a block), and after a run where the notes say the line's offer went. - Exports: copy, Markdown, CSV of the lines, the abacus as SVG, JSON, print. ## What is metered (one task) - task "notes": for every line, what it offered and its fate (built, accepted, ignored, blocked, or none) with the later line that decided it; the base reality (who, where, what); the first unusual thing and the game; the lines where the game came back; one listening moment (a reply that answered the words but missed - or caught - what was underneath); three notes tied to line numbers; three suggested next lines for real players; and a closing line. One verdict by a fixed order: blocking (any offer blocked), no_game (nothing unusual found), game_dropped (the game came back fewer than 2 times), found_the_game (otherwise). The page re-checks every reply against the scene. Runs on gpt-terra. ## Notes - A playful practice aid for improv students and hobby performers, not a teacher's assessment. Nothing typed is kept unless the person presses save. ## Sources and credits - Built on the SkillSafe skill @louisblythe/active-listening (https://skillsafe.ai/skill/@louisblythe/active-listening): hearing what is really being said, not waiting for your turn to talk.
